ECS Wellness Center
Mental Health Resources for ECS Students, Parents, and Staff
It’s our mission to create space and systems that allow school to be a place of healing, lifting up the essential values of connection and relationship for our whole community.
Our highly qualified staff, calm space, access to resources and therapy are designed to realize this vision.
Welcome to the ECS Wellness Center

Eureka City Schools is proud to support your child’s mental health and wellness through our wellness program! While some learners may never need or choose to use these services, they are available to all ECS learners and families.
Our program offers:
- Break/calm spaces
- Classroom social-emotional lessons
- Small groups
- Therapy sessions
- Brief interventions
- Crisis evaluations
Break and calm spaces are available to all Eureka City learners. Each site has specific procedures for requesting and accessing this space. All breaks are monitored and tracked through the sign-in kiosk, and the appropriate rules of the space must be followed.
Crisis evaluations are provided as needed and always include parent/caregiver involvement.
All other services — including small groups, brief interventions, and therapy — require separate consent/permission. If your student requests or is referred for these services, we will contact you to obtain consent. At that time, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether to opt in or out.
You can always call or email the ECS Wellness Center at wellnesscenter@eurekacityschools.org or 707-267-9120 with questions or to request specific services for your child.

SAGE (Student Advocates Guiding Engagement) is a grant-funded student leadership group on campus where they bring advocacy and student voice to better mental health services on campus. SAGE members help to destigmatize conversation and opinion of mental health. They are also trained to become peer counselors.
